I was checking out the web today when I happened by something from the Indianapolis Star. It was a video featuring the highest priced homes sold in Indiana in 2016. I just had to take a look and see where the homes were and what they were like, being in real estate and all!
It was certainly encouraging to learn that one of the 15 most expensive homes sold last year was an Indiana lakehouse at Grandview Lake. I’ve been down to Grandview, and it is a very nice lake, located down in Southern Indiana near Brown County. It reminds me of Heritage Lake, they are close to the same size, although Heritage Lake is located near Indianapolis. You’ll find Heritage Lake is only 28 miles west of Indy, just south of US 36.
So check it out, the house at 10651 W. Grandview Dr. in Columbus IN sold in 2016 for $2.1 million. The home looks exquisite, of course, but we have some exquisite homes on Heritage Lake, too, and our lake in Central Indiana practically ensures you’ll enjoy your summer home all year-long. Imagine meeting your family after work on Friday at the lake. They’re all there, ready and waiting for you to get home and enjoy! You might even call it home base for a month or two, who knows? With the longer summer days, the commute from downtown is an easy one.
So if you’re considering buying an Indiana lake house in 2017, I have great news for you! You can still find a small fishing cabin on the water in the low $200,000 range or you can find an incredible retreat on a peninsula lot with a private drive….oh, wait, well I’m getting ahead of myself. It’s not on the market yet, but it’s coming soon! It is one of the most unique properties in the entire state! Keep checking back here for updates because this is going to be an awesome and exiting year for fun on the water in Indiana, especially at Heritage Lake!
